How Raju from Warangal earns ₹40,000 a month as an electrician on Hi-Partner
Two years ago Raju waited at a labour adda for work that came three days a week. Today his calendar fills from his phone. This is how he did it — and what he tells new workers.

Raju Kumar, 31, learnt electrical work from his uncle in Hanamkonda. For eight years his income depended on who he met at the morning labour stand and which contractor remembered his number. Good weeks brought ₹18,000; bad months, far less.
In early 2025 a customer showed him the Hi-Partner app and he registered the same evening. "I had no photos, no reviews. I just wrote my skills and my rate, and set my radius to 12 km," he says.
The first month
The first booking came after four days — a ceiling fan in Kazipet. Raju finished early, asked the customer to rate him in the app, and posted a photo of the work. By the end of the month he had nine completed jobs and a 4.9 rating. "Customers can see I am verified and that I have done real jobs nearby. That changes the conversation."
What ₹40,000 a month looks like
Raju now takes 22 to 26 jobs a month: a mix of ₹400 house calls, ₹1,200 full days and the occasional ₹6,000 rewiring. Because there is no commission, the amount on the screen is the amount in his hand. He keeps Sundays free and uses the Availability Pulse on weekday mornings so customers nearby see him as "Available now".
- Answer every booking request within ten minutes, even to say no.
- Post one work photo per job — customers scroll the gallery before they book.
- Keep your rate honest and stable; repeat customers come back for the price they remember.
- Switch the Pulse on only when you can really leave within the hour.
His advice for new workers
"Do not wait for the perfect profile. Register, take the first small job, do it well, and ask for the rating. Everything else follows." Raju has since referred eleven workers from his colony; four of them are now in the Trusted tier.
