Rules of the neighbourhood
Short, plain rules that keep Hi Partner fair for workers, customers, sellers and owners. Breaking them leads to warnings, strikes and, for serious cases, removal.
Accounts and verification
- 1One account per person, in your real name. Businesses register as the person who answers.
- 2Phone or email is verified. ID verification is optional and earns the ID-Verified badge.
- 3Never share your account, OTP or start codes with anyone.
- 4Fake profiles, impersonation and stolen photos are removed on sight.
Bookings and cancellations
- 1Answer requests in time. Unanswered requests expire automatically.
- 2Cancel as early as you can from the app, with a reason. Repeated late cancellations reduce your ranking and can cost the Trusted tier.
- 3The start code is entered by the worker on arrival; do not share it before.
- 4Both sides confirm completion. Disagreements go to a dispute, not to a review.
Payments and fees
- 1No commission is charged on any wage or sale.
- 2Meet & Collect is the default. Record the final price and the payment in the app.
- 3Online payment is available only with Trusted workers and sellers, with escrow protection for mutual trust and ₹0 platform fee.
- 4Escrow advances are released on completion or returned on a cancelled job under the rules.
- 5Never pay outside the agreed method to skip a fee; you lose protection.
Chat, calls and privacy
- 1Contact details are shared only after a booking is accepted.
- 2No harassment, spam or off-platform pressure. Report and block are one tap away.
- 3Calls inside the app are masked; do not record without consent.
- 4Personal data is handled under our Privacy Policy and the DPDP Act.
Reviews and badges
- 1Reviews are allowed only after a completed booking or a sold deal.
- 2Reviews must be about the work. No threats, no bargaining reviews for discounts.
- 3Badges and the Trusted tier are earned by verification, rating and reliability, and can be lost.
- 4Buying, trading or faking reviews leads to removal.
Marketplace and rentals
- 1List only what you own or are authorised to sell or rent.
- 2No prohibited items: weapons, drugs, counterfeit goods, wildlife, stolen property, or anything illegal where you live.
- 3Describe condition honestly. Photos must be of the actual item.
- 4Equipment handovers use the in-app checklist; deposits and returns are recorded.
Content and conduct
- 1Every photo, listing and profile text is moderated before it is shown.
- 2No hate, abuse, sexual content or discrimination of any kind.
- 3Respect the neighbourhood: honest quotes, punctuality, clean work.
- 4Do not use the platform to recruit for other apps or to collect data.
Safety and SOS
- 1SOS is available during active jobs and alerts your chosen contacts with your location.
- 2Report unsafe situations immediately. False SOS use is a serious violation.
- 3Workers may decline unsafe work without penalty.
Disputes and grievances
- 1Open a dispute from the booking within the dispute window. Provide photos and chat context.
- 2Support acknowledges within 24 hours and resolves within 15 days.
- 3The Grievance Officer handles content, privacy, payment and safety complaints under Indian law.
- 4Decisions can be appealed once with new evidence.
How rules are enforced
First a warning, then strikes with temporary limits, then removal. Serious harm, fraud or illegal items lead to immediate removal and, where required, a report to the authorities. Every action is logged and can be reviewed on appeal.
