Electrician charges in Hyderabad 2026 — the complete rate list
What a house-call, a fan installation or a full rewiring really costs in Hyderabad this year, and how to avoid paying for work you did not ask for.

Electrician rates in Hyderabad have settled into a fairly predictable pattern in 2026. A simple visit for a switch, socket or fan problem costs between ₹300 and ₹500, while larger work such as inverter installation or a full rewiring is quoted per point or per day. The figures below come from completed bookings on Hi-Partner across Kukatpally, Gachibowli, Secunderabad, LB Nagar and Uppal.
Typical rates (labour only)
Materials — wire, MCBs, fittings — are billed separately; ask for the receipt.
- Visit charge / minor repair (switch, socket, fuse): ₹300 – ₹500
- Ceiling fan installation or repair: ₹250 – ₹400 per fan
- Light fixture or chandelier fitting: ₹200 – ₹600
- MCB / distribution board replacement: ₹600 – ₹1,500
- Inverter and battery setup: ₹800 – ₹1,500
- New wiring per point (1 BHK ≈ 25–35 points): ₹250 – ₹450 per point
- Full-day rate for a skilled electrician: ₹900 – ₹1,400
What pushes the price up
Three things change a quote more than anything else: concealed wiring (the wall has to be chased and plastered), work above the ground floor without a lift, and emergency calls after 9 pm or on festival days. A clear description with photos when you post the job keeps surprises out of the final bill.
How to get a fair price
Post the job on Hi-Partner and compare two or three quotes from nearby electricians. Every worker sets their own rate, there is no commission, and phone numbers are exchanged only after you accept — so there is no pressure to decide on the spot. Pay the worker directly when the job is done.
