The best time to service your AC before summer (and what it should cost)
Book in February or early March and you get the technician's full attention and the off-season rate. Wait until April and you join the queue. Here is the timing, the price and the checklist.

In South India the first real heat arrives in the last week of March. AC technicians are quiet until then and overbooked from the first 38 °C day onwards. A service in February or early March costs less, is done unhurried, and catches the gas leak or dead capacitor before the night you need it most.
What a proper service includes
- Indoor coil and filter wash; blower cleaning
- Outdoor condenser wash with a pressure jet
- Drain line flush so water does not drip indoors
- Gas pressure check (a top-up is extra and should be quoted)
- Capacitor, contactor and remote sensor check
What it costs in 2026
A standard split-AC wet service runs ₹400 – ₹700 per unit on Hi-Partner; window units slightly less. Gas top-up (R32 / R410A) is ₹1,500 – ₹2,800 depending on the quantity, and a capacitor is ₹300 – ₹600 fitted. Ask for the old part back when something is replaced.
Booking tip
If you have more than one unit, post a single job for all of them — technicians give a better per-unit rate for a full visit. Use the "AC repair" category, add the brand and tonnage, and pick a worker who shows completed AC jobs in their gallery.
