How to hire a verified plumber in India — a 10-minute checklist
What "verified" should actually mean, the five questions to ask before the visit, and how to make sure the price you agreed is the price you pay.

Most plumbing disasters are not caused by bad plumbers — they are caused by vague briefs, unverified strangers and prices agreed after the work. This checklist fixes all three in about ten minutes.
1. Check what "verified" means
A phone number alone proves very little. Look for a profile that shows a verified phone, an ID-document check, a rating built from completed jobs and, ideally, photos of past work. On Hi-Partner these appear as the Verified, ID verified and Trusted badges on the worker card.
2. Describe the job with a photo
A picture of the leaking joint or the empty bathroom wall is worth a long phone call. Say what is installed now, what you want done, which floor you are on and whether water can be shut off.
3. Ask these five questions
- Is the quote labour only, or does it include fittings?
- Which pipe and fitting brand will you use, and may I buy them myself?
- How long will the water be off?
- Do you need a helper, and is that in the price?
- What happens if the leak comes back within a week?
4. Agree the price in writing before the visit
Use the in-app chat so the quote is on record. Pay the plumber directly after the job — Hi-Partner charges no commission, so the amount you see is the full amount the worker receives. Then rate the work; the next household depends on it.
